My goal of learning Tai Chi was to practice the forms outside.

My first outdoor site was Mount Baker Beach on Lake Washington, down the hill from my studio on 31st Avenue and where the geese would eat and poop while I learned Tai Chi.

Over Easter weekend, Karen and I visited friends in Barnes, England, part of greater London on a “love tour” rather than a “honeymoon” following our marriage on April First in Everett.

The Pond is the heart of Barnes so what better place to practice the forms in the early morning. Missing from the picture above is the gathering of pigeons, ducks and yes, geese that would eat and bask in the Qi of this historic place.

Thanks to Mike Gaston for filling in for me with the Wednesday classes at the Monroe Y. And follow this link to view pictures of our love tour to London!
